If you look back on all the Breakthroughs you have experienced in your life with teams at work, sports, family, any activity that requires a result with people involved, every single one of those memories will involve you sharing about What Happened, When it Happened and WHO WAS INVOLVED. You will share about each person, the ups and downs, breakdowns, blindsides, setbacks and everyone who said “You and You All Couldn’t do it”. In the end, you did make it, you did produce it, you did surpass the target, you did go way over on the revenue, you did win the Gold Medal, you did win the Championship etc. etc.
It started with one person, the Leader to say it. Say the Vision, Mission, what you were going to do, how you were going to beat the odds, what it would take, all the sacrifice’s you would make and how to deal with the naysayers.
It started with ONE ON ONE. THEN it went to the next person, and the next person, then that group got together and talked and shared, then the whole group got together and aligned and agreed. This is it, This is what we are going to do.
The FOUNDATION OF ALL RESULTS IS A STRONG RELATEDNESS. TRUST IS BUILT FROM THERE.
We often jump to Planning, Action, Commitment, Decisions! Go go go, move, make it happen, pick up the pace, speed…We skip over each other, we move quickly to the numbers and results we need.
Slow down, look at each person in your inner circle, ask yourself “Am I truly related to this person? Are we aligned? Do we have good communication? Are we honest with each other? Are we Current with each other? Do we have trust? Do we spend quality time with each other?
